Argentina’s mining exports totaled $6.037 billion in 2025, the highest value on record for the sector, the economy ministry said on Friday.

Mining exports rose 29.2% compared with the prior year, the ministry said in a statement.

Gold led the way with an all-time high $4.078 billion in exports.

Lithium exports hit $905 million, representing 15% of the sector’s total, helped by the start-up of four lithium projects between 2024 and 2025.

“These figures show how the combination of favorable international prices, the start of production at new projects and the consolidation of existing operations are enabling the sector to expand its export base.”
