Fed's Musalem: tariff ruling could mean uncertainty teaser image

Feb 20 (Reuters) - St. Louis Federal Reserve President Alberto Musalem on Friday said that if the new tariffs President Donald Trump announced after the Supreme Court threw out some of his global tariffs are essentially one-for-one replacements, his economic forecast would be overall unchanged, but he said he would be talking to CEOs to see how they are managing any uncertainty.

"It is possible that as companies begin to think of how they're going to transition from paying IEEPA tariffs to paying a different kind of tariffs, that could introduce a period of uncertainty there for companies," Musalem told Fox Business Network's Edward Lawrence.
