OTTAWA, March 23 (Reuters) - The Bank of Canada announced on ​Monday that two of ‌its deputy governors will depart in the coming ​weeks and months, leaving ​its seven-member governing council ⁠short of two people.

"The ​Bank will undertake an ​internal recruitment process to fill these positions," the BoC said.

Deputy ​Governor Rhys Mendes ​will leave his post on April ‌10 ⁠to relocate to Toronto with his family and Deputy Governor Sharon Kozicki ​will ​retire ⁠on July 15, the central bank ​said in a ​statement. ⁠Mendes was appointed deputy governor in 2023, while ⁠Kozicki ​became the deputy ​governor in 2021.
