April 29 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell ​said on Wednesday ‌he will stay on as a central ​bank governor ​when his leadership term ⁠ends next month.

“After ​my term as ​chair ends on May 15, I will continue ​to serve as ​a governor for a ‌period ⁠of time to be determined. I plan to keep ​a low ​profile ⁠as a governor,” Powell ​said in a ​press ⁠conference following the latest Federal Open ⁠Market ​Committee meeting.
