Copper output in Chile, the world’s largest producer of the metal, rose 5.1% year-on-year in June to 447,294 metric tons, statistics agency INE said on Friday.

Manufacturing production in the Andean nation was down 3.2% in the month on a yearly basis, the agency added. This was less of a decrease than what was expected by economists polled by Reuters, who anticipated a 6% decrease.
