Turkey - Factors to Watch on April 5

ISTANBUL, April 5 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Wednesday. The lira traded at 19.2325 against the dollar at 0419 GMT, little changed from its close of 19.23 on Tuesday. The main BIST 100 share index closed 2.99% higher at 4,984.11 points on Tuesday.


GLOBAL MARKETS Stocks struggled to make headway on Wednesday, the dollar nursed losses and bonds clung to gains, as signs of a slowing U.S. labour market made investors nervous about the economic outlook, while a bigger-than-expected rate hike lifted the kiwi dollar.


FOREIGN MINISTER AT NATO Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will represent Turkey at a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels. Cavusoglu will speak to reporters.


FINANCE MINISTER Turkish Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati will attend a meeting with businesspeople from central Turkish province of Konya.


NATIONALIST OPPOSITION Turkey's Iyi Party will hold its parliamentary group meeting (0730 GMT)
