April 17 (Reuters) - Azerbaijan's oil exports through
the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline via Georgia and Turkey
were up by 9.0% year-on-year in the first three months of this
year at 7.244 million tonnes, the State Statistics Committee
said on Monday.
The BTC is used to export oil from the Azeri, Chirag and
Guneshli oilfields operated by BP .
Azerbaijan's total oil exports in January-March 2023 were
9.5 million tonnes, of which 76.3% flowed through the BTC.
The volume of transit oil from other countries such as
Kazakhstan through the BTC decreased to 1.02 million tonnes in
Jan-March 2023, from 1.2 million tonnes a year earlier.
