UK Stocks-Factors to watch on April 17

April 17 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 index is seen opening higher on Monday with futures up 0.2%.


* STRIKES: Nurses in England rejected offer of 5% pay rise on Friday and set out plans for further strikes.
* DE LA RUE: British banknote printer De La Rue Plc said on Friday chairman Kevin Loosemore resigned from role.
* GSK: British drugmaker GSK said on Saturday oral antibiotic drug to treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections in female adults and adolescents met main goals in late-stage trials.
* ROYAL MAIL: Britain's Royal Mail and Communication Workers Union reached proposed agreement over pay and employment terms.
* OIL: Oil prices edged up slightly, supported by OPEC+'s plans to cut more output, while investors eyed Chinese economic data for signs of demand recovery.
* METALS: Copper prices edged higher, underpinned by falling inventories in London Metal Exchange warehouses and on hopes of further economic stimulus from Chinese government.
* FTSE: Britain's FTSE 100 ended higher on Friday boosted by shares of big British banks.
