Greenland Minerals said today that an arbitration tribunal dismissed the company's request for interim measures against the Greenland government and maintain the company's exploitation licence application.
The company's Kvanefjeld is located in southern Greenland. To date over 1 billion tonnes of mineral resources (JORC-compliant) have been delineated in the project area, across three different zones – Kvanefjeld, Sørensen and Zone 3. The area has shipping access.
The legal action "...sought to restrain the Greenland Government from issuing a final decision on the Company's exploitation licence application until the arbitration is concluded and to ensure the Company’s continued title to the exploration licence EL2020-02."
The company said it will continue to seek appropriate remedies in the arbitration.
