(Kitco News) - Alpha Lithium (TSX.V: ALLI) (OTC: APHLF) today reported substantial increases to both indicated and inferred categories of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) resources in the Tolillar Salar in Salta, Argentina.
In a statement, the company said that the updated resource estimate includes 3,626,000 tonnes of indicated (70% increase from the previous estimate) and 1,393,000 tonnes of inferred (20% increase) LCE.
President and CEO Brad Nichol commented, “A 70% increase in the indicated resources of Tolillar clearly demonstrates the very high quality of this resource and represents a significant increase in the asset’s value for Alpha’s shareholders.”
Alpha added it has published this resource estimate while two drilling rigs are still active in Tolillar (others were moved to drill Alpha’s nearby Hombre Muerto assets) and only 37%, or 10,200 of the 27,500-hectare site, has been explored.
Alpha Lithium focuses on the development of the Tolillar and Hombre Muerto Salars in Argentina.
