(Kitco News) - Kitco Mining will be announcing Mining CEO Of The Year 2023 winners at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention, which is being held in downtown Toronto, Ontario from March 3-6, 2024.
The award recognizes exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication in guiding a company to new heights of success and investor returns. There will be awards for both the operating and non-operating categories.
“Mining CEO Of The Year award is a prestigious honor bestowed upon exceptional leaders who’ve made a significant impact within the mining sector,” said mining audience manager Michael McCrae. “The Federal Reserve was in its tightening phase, which weighed on all resources stock. Mining CEOs had a tough year to navigate”
McCrae said the leaders who are selected this year will join an elite group of past winners who have distinguished themselves as some of the most accomplished and visionary CEOs in the resource sector. Past winners include Clive Johnson at B2Gold and Chris Taylor of Great Bear Resources.
Award nominees will be announced in late February, and the winners in each of the two categories, producing and non-producing, will be announced during the PDAC convention.
