Rupert Resources makes offer to B2Gold to buy surrounding properties teaser image

Finland-focused Rupert Resources (TSX: RUP) made an offer to B2Gold to buy properties located in the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt in northern Finland.

In a notice of sale Rupert offered to issue to B2Gold 28,644,111 common shares of Rupert, implying a total value of C$102.8 million, in exchange for B2Gold's 70% interest in a joint venture company that owns properties beside Rupert. Aurion Resources is the other company within the JV. The JV controls properties located near Rupert's flagship Ikkari project in northern Finland

In a news release, Aurion said it is evaluating the deal.
