(Kitco News) - Red River Resources (ASX: RVR) announced Friday that underground operations have resumed at the Thalanga Base Metal Operation in Australia.

The company said it is reviewing the current mining schedule at Thalanga.

"RVR would like to thank all involved for the significant work that has taken place over the last few weeks to ensure a safe restart at Thalanga," the company added.

Red River's 100%-owned Thalanga Base Metal Operation (Thalanga) is 55km west of Charters Towers in Northern Queensland, Australia. Thalanga consists of a 650ktpa capacity milling facility which produces separate copper, lead and zinc concentrates.

Red River Resources is a gold and base metal producer with a multi-asset Australian operating business. RVR produces copper, lead and zinc at Thalanga along with significant by products of gold and silver. Hillgrove produces both gold and antimony.

The company is also exploring for silver and indium at its Herberton Project in Queensland's Atherton Tablelands.
