(Kitco News) - Former Eldorado Gold CEO Paul Wright was appointed interim president and CEO of Centerra Gold (TSX:CG).
Centerra announced the move today.
Wright is replacing Scott Perry, who had been with the company for seven years.
Last month Centerra announced a production drop due to problems at its Oskut Mine in Turkey.
The company also lost its Kumtor Mine in the Kyrgyz Republic. In the spring Centerra and the new operators announced that the dispute had been settled.
In 2020 Centerra reported 783,308 ounces of gold production. In 2022 the company expects to produce between 245,000 and 265,000 gold ounces.
