(Kitco News) - The metaverse now allows users to converse with artificial intelligence NPCs (non-playable characters), improving user experience, said Sasha Tityanko, Deputy CEO and Art Director at Sensorium.
"You can have a really deep, thoughtful, and contextual conversation [with our AI]," she said. "With our virtual beings, with have different types. We have aliens… you can talk to an alien girl."
Sensorium is an "innovative Web3 company" that creates "immersive, out-of-this-world experiences together with some of the leading artists of today," Tityanko explained.
She spoke with David Lin, Anchor and Producer at Kitco News, at the Future Blockchain Summit in Dubai.

Metaverse Regulation
The metaverse, a loose term which encompasses 3D virtual worlds that allow for social connection between users, faces regulatory challenges in the areas of copyright and data protection.
Sensorium, a metaverse company, needs to be "proactive" when it comes to metaverse regulation, said Tityanko.
"The subject of copyrights in the metaverse is so new," she mentioned. "In the traditional form… you get the royalty, a platform, a distribution company. In the metaverse, such things should be standardized and regulated."
Another potential problem is theft of other users' identities, such as avatars. However, Tityanko said that this is solved through NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on Sensorium's blockchain.
"When a user is creating his own unique avatar… all of this is certified through the blockchain NFT system that we have," she said. "That guarantees he becomes the owner of this avatar."
An NFT is a unique digital identity that cannot easily be copied or substituted, and is used to guarantee ownership. Tityanko said that it is "not easy" to hack a Sensorium user's avatar.
"Data protection is of course important, and we are always working hard on that side," she said.
