Harmony Gold (JSE:HAR) reported today that an employee lost his life on Monday morning following a fall of ground incident at the company's Tshepong North mine, near Odendaalsrus, in the Free State province.

Tshepong operations are underground. Mining takes place between 1 500m to 2 300m below surface. Ore mined is processed at the Harmony One plant, where the gold cyanide leaching process is used to recover the gold.
