(Kitco News) - Soma Gold (TSXV: SOMA) (OTC: SMAGF) announced today that the company produced 8,897 gold equivalent ounces during the second quarter ended June 30, 2023.
The company said that the second quarter production exceeded the planned 8,450 ounces by 5%.
President and CEO Javier Cordova commented, “The team managing the Cordero mine continues to surpass planned production and expects to exceed guidance for the full year. We are very pleased as our operations at Cordero transition from the construction phase to the optimization phase.”
Soma Gold is a mining company focused on gold production and exploration. The company owns two adjacent mining properties in Antioquia, Colombia with a combined milling capacity of 675 tpd (permitted for 1,400 tpd). The El Bagre mill is currently operating and producing.
The company also owns an exploration property near Tucuma, Para State, Brazil that is currently under option to Ero Copper Corp.
